The story behind the sauce
Kano smoke. Yaji heat.
The seasoning was never an afterthought. Its nutty base, dried chilli and ginger made the flavour stay long after the smoke had cleared.
Musa’s blend begins with finely ground kuli-kuli, then layers dried chilli, ginger, onion, garlic and warm aromatics. Shake it over meat before grilling or finish eggs, chips and roasted vegetables at the table.
